From June 5th to 6th, “2021 Pujiang Innovation Forum—National Universities Scientific Innovation and Achievements Transfer” was held at Shanghai. Hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology and Shanghai Municipal Government, the forum won supports from the Ministry of Education, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality, Organizing Committee for Pujiang Innovation Forum.

With a theme titled “take on the mission of sci-tech self-reliance and self-strengthening, push ahead the innovation in sci-tech institution and system”, circling around the important speech spirits of General Secretary XI Jinping at the general assemblies of the members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences （CAS） and the Chinese Academy of Engineering （CAE）, and the National Congress of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology (CAST). Heads of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Natural Science Fundation of China and other universities carried out deep talks about addressing challenges in changes, strengthening responsibilities, serving national innovative development, to achieve the goal of high-level sci-tech self-reliance and self-strengthening.

Set up in 2008, Pujiang Innovation Forum is a high-level and high-grade international forum jointly hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology and Shanghai Municipal Government, which exerts great influence at home and abroad.
