On the morning of September 8, 2024, the Results Release of the 2024 Pujiang Innovation Forum was held at the Zhangjiang Science Hall in Shanghai. Shi Qian, a member of the Party Group and Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Association for Science and Technology, attended the conference and delivered a speech. The meeting was hosted by Zhu Xueyan, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Institute for Science of Science.

"The Path to Innovation for Great Countries and Cities: Strategic Research on the Construction of Shanghai as an International Science and Technology Innovation Center," co-authored by Zhu Xueyan, was officially launched at the Results Release. Hu Shuhong, Deputy Director of the Strategic Planning Research Department of the Shanghai Institute for Science of Science, interpreted the contents of the book. The Results Release was widely reported by several media, including Jiefang Daily, CBN, CNR News, Tencent, and NetEase News.

Following the theories and methods of strategic research, from a global perspective, the book focuses on the major issue of accelerating Shanghai's development into an international technology and innovation center. It carries out theoretical research, case studies, and explores real-world problems while proposing directions for future development. The book aims to solve the difficulties in constructing Shanghai as an international center for technology and innovation from both theoretical and practical aspects.

The book is divided into five chapters, including strategic guidance, main support, innovation acceleration, spatial response and future-oriented, and revolves around the theoretical, historical, and practical logic of constructing a globally influential technology and innovation center. Focusing on the main entities, activities, spaces, and strategies supporting Chinese modernization in the context of science and technology innovation, the book summarizes the significant achievements Shanghai has made in scientific and technological development and proposes future development ideas. The goal is to seize the strategic opportunities of the new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation in the new development stage, contributing wisdom and strength towards achieving Shanghai's grand goal of becoming a globally influential technology and innovation center.
